A Sampler Pack of Gospel Tracts (A Homeschool Coffee Break Review)

A Sampler Pack of Gospel Tracts (A Homeschool Coffee Break Review for the Homeschool Review Crew) on Homeschool Coffee Break @ kympossibleblog.blogspot.com

Earlier this fall we were asked to review some Halloween tracts from a company called Let The Little Children Come and at the same time we received a Gospel Tracts and Evangelism Tools Sampler Pack and were asked to share our thoughts on them as well.

Let the Little Children Come

Let The Little Children Come is a company that provides child evangelism tools and resources intended to make sharing the gospel message with children easier, using simple but attention-grabbing tracts. Their products are colorful and creative, and designed to hold children's attention without distracting from the gospel message. The company is not affiliated with any church or organization, but does have a simple Christian Statement of Faith on their website for you to view.

The Sampler Pack we received contains ten of the company's most popular gospel tracts, so it's suitable to get an idea of which ones are the best choice for your needs before purchasing a larger batch. Or you may want to purchase several Sampler Packs and have an assortment of tracts.

Most familiar are probably these variations on the "wordless book" tract that has been around for so many years. The sample contains a wordless book, a silicone salvation bracelet using the same wordless book color scheme, and a kit to make an adjustable wordless bracelet. Both bracelets come with the explanation of what the colors represent and how to use them to tell the gospel story.

There are two FlipAbout books in the pack. These are simply clever little cards that when folded open and shut reveal different pictures to help tell the gospel story. To young children, the visual appeal of the new picture revealed when the card is unfolded a different way would probably help keep their attention and make the story memorable.

There are two Pop-up tracts - The Most Amazing House and The Lost Easter Eggs. These are miniature pop-up books, and are just the cutest things. The Most Amazing House tells about God preparing heaven for us and making a way for us to be there with him. The Lost Easter Egg tells about a search for a missing Easter egg after the children are sure they've found them all, then relates it to the parable of the lost sheep.

These three clever Animated Tracts were our favorites though. The John 3:16 Animated Tract explains the well-known gospel verse with fun 'moving' pictures.

Where's Everybody Going? takes a look at creation and how sin separates us from God, but through the cross Jesus made a way for us to be with God again.  Check out these leaping dolphins - my 16-year-old and I were fascinated with this!

And now would be a great time to have this one ready to start sharing with kids - The True Story of Christmas. You guessed it - it tells the story of Jesus coming to earth as a baby in order to save us from sin. The 'moving' pictures, like this angel chorus, engage in a new way.

Aren't they all creative little evangelism tools? They could be used for Vacation Bible School, in Sunday School or kids club programs, or just to have some handy for whenever you find yourself in a situation where you can entertain and engage a child for a few moments and possibly have an eternal impact.

(It's a little late for this year's Halloween parties, but you may also want to check out our review of the Halloween tracts - Is There Anything Better Than Candy?)
