Homeschool Highlights - First Semester Wrapped Up

Welcome to Homeschool Highlights! 

This weekly link-up is your opportunity to share some highlights of what is happening in your homeschool and in your world each week. If you write a wrap-up post at the end of each week, like I've been doing, we'd love to see what you're busy with from week to week. I'm keeping the guidelines as simple as I can, and they will appear at the bottom of each post, along with the link tool. I was hoping the groundhog would have good news for us today. Instead I've got a polar bear mug. And I'm so late with this - sorry!

Homeschool news  . . . The last day of first semester was last week, and reports were due last Friday, so we are now officially into second semester - and I have all the grades from first semester recorded. Woot! One of Kennady's co-op classes was just one semester, so that is finished and she's been awarded the half credit for Speech and Presentation. You might think she'll have some extra time now that she has that class completed, but you wouldn't be entirely right. It doesn't really change our schedule on co-op days, since we still hang around with friends or run errands which means we probably won't get home any sooner most weeks. It is, however, one less class for which there is homework! Kennady had straight A's in all her subjects - of course. Because that's how homeschoolers usually roll. We work on it till it's right, so most of the time that means an A. All her music classes are easy A's; she earned solid A's in all three co-op classes;  History and Bible were A's; and the low A in Algebra was definitely hard won.

Other news . . . Another busy work week for all of us! Even Kennady got another half day of work at the piano shop. Here are the latest pictures from the church renovation project that has kept Landon (and Spencer for a couple days) busy this week:
