Last week we were in Columbus, Ohio and spent an afternoon at the Columbus Park of Roses. When I say "we", in this case I mean myself and the hubster. Not sure how much any of the kids would have enjoyed this particular field trip, although I'm almost certain Kennady would have managed to take much better photos.

Anyway, this public garden was established in 1953, and now includes over 12,000 roses in over 400 varieties. It's free and open all year long. Of course, the best time to see the roses would be in late May and early June. On our visit in mid-July, many of the roses were past their peak.

I think I'd also need a gardener to look after the garden, because I would not want to do that myself.
