Welcome to the Virtual Refrigerator art link-up! Thank you for joining us as we share what we're creating in our homeschools. We cordially invite you to add your link sharing artwork that's on your Virtual Refrigerator and then hop over to the other blogs and admire what's on their Fridges too! The Virtual Fridge link-up is open all month, with anchor posts planned for each Wednesday.

We are a week away from Halloween, and my big kids have carved their jack-o-lanterns! Their young adult activity on Friday evening included pumpkin carving, and Kennady claims she'd never done that before. The boys have, but they were pretty young, so I think Kennady is right. Seems like many years we wanted to do this, but just didn't get to it. Anyway, here are their pumpkin sculptures:

I wish I'd been able to take a picture (that turned out) when it was dark and we had candles inside, because they all looked a lot spookier and more impressive that way! Perhaps I'll update this post if I manage to get some good photos.

This is Spencer's - not sure whether the nod to GhostRider is intentional or not.

This one is Kennady's. It definitely looks much better lit up, and it's much clearer that it's a bat against the background of a full moon.

This one is Landon's and is obviously the silliest, and possibly the most creative! These characters are from a comic he likes. I think it's called Flork of Cows. He and his buddy think they are hilarious, but the rest of us do not necessarily agree!

Do you carve pumpkins? Or do you even decorate for Halloween? Leave a comment and let me know - and if you do have Halloween art (or other art!) to show off, please add it to our Virtual Fridge link-up!

Now it's your turn! Join us by sharing your art posts here on the Virtual Fridge, and please grab our button for your post to help spread the word!

The last few years the boys have not wanted to carve pumpkins and while I miss the cute/ spooky decorations I was never a fan of the smell so I'm mostly relieved that they decided to take a pass. They did a great job!
