February Photo Album

February is a short month, but even so, it seems like there are far fewer photos in my monthly stash than expected. I guess I really didn't take pictures that often this month. Still it's rather sweet to look back on the happenings of the month that's almost over.

Early in the month, we finally followed through on our plans to get a group together from church and attend a Hershey Bears hockey game. I even remembered to get our church name up on the jumbotron.

We had about twenty people - our family and a few other families from church.

Good game, and a Bears win!

This is actually one of Kennady's photos of my cat. We finally got Kennady a new phone - her old one had a lot of small cracks in the screen but we'd been procrastinating about replacing it. Well, at the hockey game the touch screen stopped working except for a narrow strip down the center. So the next day it was top priority to go get the new phone. She was so impressed by the camera quality as she was testing it out at home, and insisted that I have this beautiful close-up of Merida.

Didn't happen on Valentine's Day, but there was actually an occasion when the hubster and I were the only ones home for dinner! I figured we'd better have candlelight! LOL

It was unlucky that we had a flat tire on our way home from college and work one day. But it was lucky that it happened when I was driving (rather than when Kennady was driving), and it was during the day in a safe, populated place where it was easy to pull over and wait for help. It put us behind schedule that day and was a bit frustrating, but really only a minor inconvenience, all things considered.

On Valentine's Day it was just me and the hubster, and Kennady and her boyfriend home for dinner. Dinner was delicious - homemade lasagna - and the dessert was a rich chocolate cake.

Kennady's boyfriend brought her flowers - very sweet!

The kids were all helping out with food sales at a local homeshow, which was part of a fundraiser for our church to send kids to camp. They had fun, and the food was good too.

The hubster and I did a little shopping after that homeshow, and found these costume onesies on clearance. Couldn't resist buying them for the kids, and these are probably my favorite photos of the month!

Big news of the month! Landon proposed to Meaghan, and she said Yes!! The wedding is planned for next spring, but they got started planning right away. Kennady will be the Maid of Honor.

Remember way back at the beginning of the month, when the Groundhog predicted an early spring? Looks like he was right - the daffodils have been coming up all around our place, and there are plenty of signs of an early spring. It's certainly been very mild for February.

February is the border between winter and spring.

Flat tires while driving...so scary. Always hate when I see cars along the side of the road and tow truck help. The flowers are lovely, and the cat is so cute. Looks like a fun February. I'm so ready for Spring.

Oh wow! Congrats on the wedding news. It sounds like you had a pretty good February (minus the flat tire!).

I've never been to a hockey game, but it looks exciting! And that cake looks fabulous.
