Welcome to Homeschool Highlights!
This weekly link-up has been so much fun to put together and host over the past few years and I'm so thankful for the bloggers that have joined in during that time. I've been hosting this link-up for awhile, but since my youngest graduated from our homeschool, I'm now passing along the hostess baton to another homeschool blogger. It feels a little odd saying that this is my last time hosting, but I'm so glad that the link-up has a new home!
I'm so excited to be able to introduce you to the new hostess for Homeschool Highlights! Please visit Megan at My Full Heart and get to know her. This is the last week that we are co-hosting Homeschool Highlights. Beginning next Friday it's all hers! Thank you, Megan!

This week's news . . . will be brief, because there's not a whole lot to tell, and I have to work today so I need to publish this and get moving!
We had a very quiet and uneventful weekend - which is good once in a while! On Sunday after church, the hubster and I stayed for the 50+ Lunch. Yeah, we're that old. We were among the youngest people there, but still, it's a milestone and it's taking some getting used to! The food was so good and we did enjoy ourselves and are looking forward to more opportunities to get together with that set of friends.
It's been a busy week of work and school and church activities. I had two sets of papers to grade for Writing class, Kennady seemed to have more homework to get through this week, and I am helping out at work by going in a couple of extra days. The house has been rather a wreck as a result, and even my being home all day on Wednesday didn't improve the appearance much! Yesterday Meaghan washed up most of the dishes and tidied things up, earning her the coveted "Favorite Daughter" status, but it never takes us long to mess things up again.
I took advantage of the opportunity to have breakfast for dinner on Tuesday, it being Shrove Tuesday. We had pancakes and bacon, and of course there were fasnachts (donuts) too. On Wednesday evening we were all at church for an Ash Wednesday service, followed by our worship team practice.

Please stay in touch . . . I'm still going to be writing here (and on Just A Second), but the focus is shifting a little bit. And I'm still figuring that out. This year I started up a new link-up called Twenty Six Lists, so I'd love to have you visit and join us in that bi-weekly link-up.
The current list (open until Thursday) is What Are You Good At?

This coming Thursday, we'll talk about our Favorite Books, which a subject near and dear to homeschoolers' hearts, so please stop by and say hello!
On my blogs last week . . .
And on my book blog, Just A Second:
Share Four Somethings - February 2020
Recent Reads - The Curse of the Healing Kiss
Monthly Bookshelf Review - February 2020
Scripture and a Snapshot - Like A Tree
Just A Second is where I share book reviews and other book-related things, and update on what's on my bookshelf. This week I finished and reviewed The Curse of the Healing Kiss by Mark McClelland, and I've been reading:
A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens
The Next Always by Nora Roberts
Sojourner Truth: All Men (and Women) are Created Equal
A parting shot . . .
Dear Groundhog,we are in receipt of your memo re: early spring and hope that your forecast is accurate because upon emergence we have been informed that it is still February. Please confirm.Thank you,Daffodils of Carroll County

Homeschool Highlights guidelines:
- Your blog should be family-friendly content, and your post should include something about homeschooling. If I don't see homeschooling in it, I might have to delete the link, and I feel bad when I need to do that.
- Please link directly to your post, not your blog's homepage.
- Please include a link in your post to Homeschool Coffee Break - you may use the graphic above if you wish.
- Visit a couple of the other bloggers and comment or share.

Thank you so much for allowing me to take over the link-up! I hope I do it as well as you have all these years. And I do hope you'll stop by and "visit"!
Will the Homeschool Highlights button code be update so it takes us to the new homepage?
Megan - I'm hoping to stop by most weeks!
Joesette - Megan has a new button so I think she may have a grab button too.
I have my favorite book post raring to go! I love reading about good books.
