March Photo Album

So March has been a little different than I expected. How about you?

At the beginning of this month, the coronavirus thing was just something on the news and I was concerned about it, but it didn't affect my life all that much. And then gradually - it did start to affect my life. No one I'm close to is sick or anything like that, but our weekly routines have changed quite a bit, and so has our social life!

I made up my mind that I want to have fresh flowers in my dining room all year long. Cheap bouquets like this one will do just fine until there's flowers of some kind in my yard to cut. It's worth a few dollars for the cheerfulness it brings.

Stroopwaffels and coffee in the evening, and a bit of fog with sunrise in the morning.

Ah yes, the good old days. A couple weeks ago when we still had Sunday morning small groups and kids activities midweek. This is my son and his fiancee with their class.

Pi Day:

A new book by one of my favorite authors:

Za'atar bread has become a family favorite.

"Picking up a few groceries" has become a team sport and the odds are not always in our favour, especially when it comes to toilet paper and other items that people have been panic buying or hoarding. So far we've always managed to find what we need when we've needed it. I was amused on this particular trip by the items the lady behind me was stocking up on. Honeybuns and ice cream. These are my people.

More time to go on walks with the hubster.

Staying home. And yes, that's the hard won package of toilet paper on the counter.

And just for laughs, this fun painting by Kennady that sums up the world right now!

The flowers are so colorful they don't look real. They look like silk. I too am ready for flowers in the yard. Ready for more Spring like weather. Stay well. :)

Great photos and memories. Your Pi day pie looks delicious... ours ended up in the garbage. Turns out that no one in this house likes a custard pie.

The flowers are artificially colored, but I loved how bold!

I made a blackberry pie, and we actually only ate about half of it. It wasn't as sweet as I expected.

I totally get you when you say that shopping it like a contest or game. Seems to be so hard to get what one needs but at least I found a few new recipes to try when we had to buy substitutes.
