The holiday season is here, beginning with Thanksgiving! I'm taking a break from baking and cleaning to share a few things that I hope will be encouraging and fun!

Some of the things around the web that I've been reading or exploring during recent coffee breaks:

Well, I'm excited about any news involving live worship music, so I'm happy to be able to add my voice to those announcing this tour - Hillsong UNITED and Chris Tomlin are going on a 33-city tour! Holiday meals like Thanksgiving are occasions when most of us gather around the table with our families. But for some families, dinner together is not necessarily a regular thing. Some time ago I bookmarked this article in Anita Ojeda's Inspire Me Monday series, and perhaps this is a good time to revisit it and to encourage others to read it as well; and perhaps consider the benefits of making family meals a priority. Does the Family that Eats Together Have Better Mental Health?

Our family ate together for Canadian Thanksgiving, which makes it just a little easier for me to relinquish my kids to do American Thanksgiving with their Significant Other family. Theoretically. My logical brain tells me it's fine and I'm genuinely happy to see them embraced and included by the other side of the family. But of course I do miss them at my own table when that happens. To be fair, I've also shared a brief history lesson about Thanksgiving in America here:

What I've been reading during longer coffee breaks:

As Death Draws Near by Anna Lee Huber
A Corner of White by Jaclyn Moriarty
The Debutante's Code by Erica Vetsch
The Last Book in the Universe by Rodman Philbrick
