Currently . . . November 3, 2022

At the beginning of each month I've been participating in a "Currently" link-up hosted at Overflowing With Thankfulness. Our hostess Jennifer posts a set of action verb prompts for the month and writers respond. I'm late with it this week, and I don't even have photos to include! A lot going on here, and I think you'll see the that my answers all seem to go in one general direction! Here are this month's prompts and a little bit of what's happening currently . . .

***********
Borrowing - from ourselves lately. Dipping into savings to cover some of our expenses while we were between jobs.

Buying - very little, since our income has been interrupted and we're about to move! I guess we probably will be buying moving boxes and totes as we kick into high gear with all of that. And we may well decide to buy some new furniture once we're settled.

Planning - our move to another state, and what we'll transport when. We're staying at a hotel to start with and will hopefully have an apartment lined up that we can move into at the beginning of December. We're planning to come home on Thanksgiving weekend to take a truckful of things. The planning is rather loose since there are still so many unknowns.

Prepping - for the move and for the kids to take over the running of this household. We're also prepping for a final 'concert' that our family worship band is playing next weekend.

Reading - My reading has been suffering lately! My parents were here visiting for a couple of weeks and I didn't read much during that time, and now I'm busy with moving concerns. All of my blogging has been backburner lately, but my Just A Second blog is where I focus more on books. When I have a few minutes, I have been reading:

Mary by Shannon McNear
War of the Worlds by H.G. Wells

and I have these next on the stack:

Beneath His Silence by Hannah Linder
The Friendly Persuasion by Jessamyn West

Oh, I hope the move goes well. I will be thinking of you over the next month as you transition.
