One of my personal traditions for the start of the school year is to choose a School Scripture. Truth is, this has been for me more than for my students. I've chosen verses that remind me of our purpose in choosing to educate at home, or that challenge me to be faithful in prayer or in trusting God. Last year I chose two scripture passages because I couldn't make up my mind between the two. This year I had two in mind and couldn't decide, so I did something new - I asked Kennady which she preferred. And she promptly said she didn't have a preference, but offered me a few verses that she had bookmarked and liked. When asked which one of those passages she wanted, she gave me no explanation, but said she chose John 8:32 - "Then you will know the truth and the truth will set you free." So, I don't know exactly why she chose that verse, but I assume she knows so that's good enough for me. After all, we are pursuing truth when we are learning, aren't we?
However, I did choose my own Scripture as well, from Psalm 20.
