Welcome to Homeschool Highlights!
This weekly link-up is your opportunity to share some highlights of what is happening in your homeschool and in your world each week. If you write a wrap-up post at the end of each week, like I've been doing, we'd love to see what you're busy with from week to week. If you'd like to pick a favorite post from your week that spotlights a resource or activity in your homeschool that you'd like to tell others about, we're interested in those too. I'm keeping the guidelines as simple as I can, and they will appear at the bottom of each post, along with the link tool. I look forward to getting to know you, and I hope this will be a source of encouragement and good ideas for all of us.
Grab a cup of coffee and let's get started!
Nice that my favorite Starbucks iced coffee could still be part of my 'normal' while on vacation!
Homeschool news . . . Kennady and I pretty much had to hit the ground running when we arrived home after our vacation! Actually, Kennady worked on her Creative Writing homework and assigned reading in the car as we drove home on Monday. We got home in the early evening, but she started on History homework that night. We both had to work hard to get all the homework and class prep for co-op completed on Tuesday and Wednesday, but we did it! We had a good day back to co-op yesterday and Kennady was very pleased to find out that she'd done so well with her French homework and quizzes, despite having missed last week's class.
Other news . . . We spent all of last week vacationing in Florida! We visited St Augustine, all four Disney World parks, and attended a hockey game in Tampa. On our way home, we stopped in Jacksonville to meet one of my friends and her family for lunch. And then drove the rest of the way home on Monday.
On Tuesday, Kennady was back to work, and she and I were both back to our choir rehearsals. On Wednesday evening we were back to church activities and had our worship team practice. On Thursday, we were back to our usual routine of co-op classes, and Kennady added a new event to her weekly schedule - a young adult Bible study and fellowship group. Today I am back to work, and with that we have re-established our 'normal' weekly schedule! Or at least we hope so. It will be normal until the the next thing comes along to disrupt it!

Sounds like a fun trip!
Fun times! We love St. Augustine even if the Fountain of Youth has never worked for me. Lol
